The Beginning: The Spark of Inspiration

11 years ago in 2014, as a college student studying business, I took my first step into entrepreneurship. Coming from a family of business owners, I had always been surrounded by the drive and passion to create something of my own. With a dream in mind and £500 saved from my lunch money, I decided to start my own online jewellery business while living in the attic of my parents’ house.

The Problem I Noticed

I was a regular shopper at Warren James for silver jewellery but soon realized their designs rarely changed. Even today, their collections look almost the same. On the other hand, I loved the variety and gold finishes in Primark’s jewellery but was frustrated by their poor quality—earrings irritated my ears, and rings left my fingers green. I couldn’t find a brand that combined both: timeless, high-quality designs at affordable prices. So, I decided to create it myself.

The Mission: Bringing Affordable Luxury to Everyone

I envisioned a jewellery brand that offered the same premium quality and stunning designs as brands like Pandora or Swarovski, but with a focus on accessibility and affordability. By making it online-based, I aimed to make beautiful, high-quality jewellery available to people all over the UK, no matter where they lived.

Early Days: Balancing Studies, Family, and Business

Studying business gave me the perfect opportunity to put theory into practice. While working part-time in my family’s businesses, I applied what I was learning in real time to my own brand. I launched the business during college, relying entirely on influencer marketing and Instagram to grow. At a time when online jewellery businesses were rare, my brand stood out, and I saw the potential in blending affordability with luxury.

The Pause and the Restart

After getting married and becoming a mum, my business took a backseat. But in 2020, during lockdown, I rediscovered my passion. With my daughter more independent, I threw myself back into the business, remembering why I started it in the first place. While the market had grown more competitive, I knew my vision was unique: creating jewellery that made people feel confident and luxurious without the hefty price tag.

The Evolution: Diamonds Galore Today

Today, I’m proud to say that what started as a dream in my parents’ attic has grown into a flagship store and a thriving online business. Diamond Galore focuses on top-quality materials—sterling silver with extra rhodium plating and the best cubic zirconia stones—to ensure durability and brilliance, all while remaining affordable.

Our mission is to help people feel like they’re wearing diamond, even if they can’t splurge on the real thing. Whether it’s an everyday staple or a piece for a special occasion, our jewelry is designed to boost confidence and make every customer feel like a million dollars.
